Hot news to end the year. The Sandwich war in Leeds is hotting up! As Things in Bread is about to celebrate its first Birthday, Bundo sneaks in a brand new Meal Deal and Butty offer for January.
The bunf
Sad meal deals al desko in January? Couldn’t be us! Bundobust are saying goodbye to tired sandwiches with their Bundobutties menu, available from 4 January to 11 February across all Bundo venues.
Bundobutties introduces two new vegan sandwiches alongside a range of banging sides to spice up your weekday lunchtimes. Make yours a meal deal by choosing any sandwich, side and a soft drink for £9.95, or upgrading to a pint of Bundobust Brewery’s Python Premium Lager for £12.95.
THE FOOD
Bundobust’s famous Bombay Sandwich (£8) is back! Their chefs have been working away on the recipe all year, building on the success of the sell-out dish in January 2023.
This double-decker grilled sandwich is packed with crispy potato pakoras, melty vegan cheddar, chutneys and salad before being seasoned with sandwich massala and chutneys top and bottom.
The brand new Chaap Kathi Roll (£8) sees green massala marinated chaap kebab, massala slaw, and spicy apple ketchup wrapped in a homemade turmeric and cumin roomali roti. Chaap is a Desi soy-based meat substitute which is similar in texture to chicken. It’s flying in India and we can’t wait to cook with it in the Bundo kitchens.
Bundobust classics Vegan Vada Pav (£7) and Bhaji Butty (£7.50) are also included in the Bundobutties meal deals.
New sides coming in hot include Gunpowder Idli (£3) and Sambhar Soup (£3). Gunpowder Idli are fluffy steamed lentil dumplings which are deep fried until crispy and tossed in an utterly addictive spicy, umami seasoning. They’ll have your lips tingling and reaching for a pint of Python! Sambhar Soup is a Bundo OG dish. This hot and sour soup is made with aubergine, lentils and gourd. Sandwich dipping is highly encouraged.
Bundo core menu hero Smacked Khakri (£3) brings all the fresh flavours to the table. This quick pickle cucumber is the perfect palate cleanser between bites. And it wouldn’t be a meal deal without some crisps! Bundo’s Desi Crisps (2.50) are a mix of Massala Magic and Sun Dried Chilli.
