We will be bringing that Leeds Rum Festival magic to another fantastic Venue, Grindhouse.

For this event, we’re working with Caribbean powerhouse Plantation rums. Alexandre Gabriel, the owner of Plantation, spends months every year combing the Islands for the best liquid he can find to take back home to Cognac. UK Plantation Ambassador Paul Mcfadyen will be joining us to wax lyrical about the subject and top up our glasses on the day.

Bastards Bistro are providing the menu. These Leeds locals have set up shop in Grindhouse since Spring and are no strangers to mixing booze with indulgent scran.

Plantation Rum Fiji 2009 – Fiji Islands 2009 is the product of an exceptional terroir combined with artisanal savoir-faire and traditional production methods. The tropical climate and volcanic soils provide the perfect environment for the cultivation of mana, a variety of sugarcane highly prized by local producers and harvested by hand.

Staring with…

A welcome ‘Snapper’ – A moreish, twist on the Bloody Mary including a mix of Citadelle gin, tomato juice, citrus, celery salt and spices

Served with a seafood or plantain taco, lime crema and rainbow slaw

Followed by…

Plantation Rum Pina Colada Fried Chicken or Crispy tofu. Smoked pineapple salsa. Rum coconut cream


BBQ Jerk or Cauliflower Wings in a pineapple Rum Punch hot sauce

Paired with a Planters Rum Punch – A refreshing blend of Plantation 3 Star, honey, grenadine, pink grapefruit & lime juice, aromatic bitters

and to finish…

Mojito Key Lime Pie with minted lime granita

Paired with a Plantation rum espresso martini – Combining Plantation Barbados 5 year, fresh North Star espresso and salted stout syrup.
